fun activity idea
Make homemade play dough!
My Favorite Recipe:
Supplies needed: 4 cups flour 1 cup salt 4 cups water 4 tablespoons oil 1/2 cup cream of tartar food coloring for color essential oils for scent (*I'm using yellow and lemon oil for some extra germ-killing protection.) Directions: 1. Mix all ingredients in a pot 2. Cook and stir over low/medium heat until the play dough is formed and no longer sticky (careful not to burn the bottom). 3. Turn out on a floured surface and allow to cool. 4. Add more flour and knead if necessary. 5. Store in an airtight container (I like to use a large tupper ware container). You can even make more colors, too! This will help keep your kids busy for many, many days. I much prefer this homemade recipe to store bought kinds. It is a lot nicer to play with. Plus, have your kids help you with measuring for a little math, too! |

ART ACTIVITY
FREE ART DAY WITH OIL PASTELS
In class the kids are drawing/coloring about one of their favorite sports.
We are using oil pastels for their vibrant colors, but you can use anything that you have at home.
For our regular preschoolers who are staying home at this time, you may send this back to school when your child returns. We write on the paper what they draw (in their own words) and put the date on them to include them in their end of year portfolios.
