tulip painting art, spanish body parts
fun activity idea
Tulip Fork Stamp Painting
Kids love to paint with items other than a paintbrush!
All you need for this fun creative art activity is some paint (washable is best), forks (plastic or metal is fine), and paper. Younger kids may just like to make "flowers" all over and skip adding stems. Older children may like putting the stems on before/after.
There are many different ways to make these!

Learning Activities
HANDWRITING
We have the children practice name writing each day. Young ones should trace, older ones can try on their own when they are ready :)

Math Concept - Time: Learning the parts of a clock
Today we will learn the 3 parts of a clock: Face, Hour Hand, & Minute Hand
Spanish: Now that we have learned all the body parts for our head, shoulders, knees and toes song, we will be reviewing this every day for the next few weeks.
Kids learn the best from repetition :)

Numbers: 1-30 number game with shamrock numbers
(cut out shamrocks and write numbers on them, have your child put them in order, fill in the missing spots, etc)
Be creative with mixing the numbers up, taking some away and see if your child can figure out what is missing, etc. Keep it interesting :)
Sight words "____ is here."
Join our animal party today as we get to welcome all of the guests to the party!
You can just write the words on a paper, then have your child think of ways to end the sentence and "read" it to you.
Review the "it" and "ig" word families:
At home, you can easily write the letters on paper squares (feel free to use your child's favorite color!), put them together to sound out each word.

Review letter names/sounds
(We do this every day with a different twist in class so the kids don't forget them!)
Art Activity
Make Tulip Handprint Art
In class, we are using these sweet memories as a cover for their end of year school work portfolio.
Supplies:
Red & Green Washable Paint
Paper (I like light blue like sky)
Paintbrushes
If you want to make this as a memory, you may wish to print out or write "See How Much I've Grown" with the name and date. This is what we do for our covers :)
Yes, this is not a "free" art type of project, but it's nice to have some of these sweet memories, too.
Here are some art supplies if you need resources:
story, finger play, music & movement
STORY: "Just a Duck"
Yoga: Today in Class Our Theme is "Sports"
We will be doing fun yoga "poses" for kids that are similar to what adults do, as well as adding in some fun & relaxing ways to focus on our breathing throughout our mini yoga session.
Here is some inspiration for those of you at home:

Finger Play: "Pretty Butterfly"
Nursery Rhyme: Three Blind Mice
The MOST important part of teaching preschoolers is...
KEEP IT FUN!
Be sure to try to get your kids outside each day as much as possible, too!
Stomp in some puddles.
Find some worms.
Watch the clouds.
Go for a walk.
Look for animals.
Search for acorns, leaves, & pinecones.
FRESH AIR AND SUNSHINE ARE GOOD FOR THE SOUL!
And movement helps children develop and grow.
