Day 1: Science Activity - Making Slime!
How to make the best slime recipe:
In a measuring cup, add one teaspoon Borax to one cup of warm water.
Mix well until the Borax is dissolved.
In another container, add 1/2 cup of liquid glue to 1/2 cup of water.
Mix well, and then add a few drops of food coloring as desired.
Now, combine both in equal amounts in small containers if you are doing this with several kids, or in one large container if you are doing it with just one child.
Mix well, and then carefully pour off any extra liquid that may be left.
(If you are doing it with a group of kids, we like to use small disposable cups and popsicle sticks to mix)
Put this on a tray and enjoy!
*Be careful not to get it on carpet or clothing as it's not the most fun to clean up...
When you are done, store it in an airtight container to enjoy again and again.
You can even explain to the kids that making slime is science as when we mix the ingredients together, we get to make something new! I like to teach the kids that it is a chemical reaction.
